Competition-Introduction Workshop May 7-9

Racquetball Canada and the BCRA will be hosting a Competition-Introduction workshop for anyone wishing to become certified as a coach in this context. The Coaches Assiciation of Canada has a new structure for coaching under the National Coaching Certification Program. The Competition-Introduction context replaces Levels 1 and 2 under the old certification format.

Anyone wishing to take part in this workshop should contact Sebastien Boissonneault or Gord Hay. A venue will be named shortly in the Lower Mainland. Attendees should arrive at the venue and be ready to begin at 6:30 pm on Friday, May 7. The workshop will occupy the entire Friday evening, Saturday all-day, and Sunday until mid afternoon.  Upon successful completion of the weekend workshop, coaches will be "trained" in this context. You will also need to be evaluated in competition coaching an athlete and complete Make Ethical Decisions online at
www.coach.ca to become "certifiied" at this level.

Prior training in the Community Sport stream is recommended but not mandatory to take this workshop. The cost of this workshop is $100.00.  There may be funding available to help pay for this.

Sign up now, because space is limited to ten participants.
